Breaking News : Georgia Bigfoot Body Confirmed As A Rubber Costume Hoax

Wednesday, August 20, 2008

Last week the internet went crazy after it was announced that the body of a mythical Bigfoot had been discovered in Georgia.

The alleged Bigfoot corpse, which had been announced to the world during a press conference last Friday,  has now been confirmed to be a hoax.

Matthew Whitton and Ricky Dyer who claimed to have found Bigfoot are now as rare a sight as the creature itself, having apparently gone into hiding following the revelation that their corpse was nothing more than a rubber costume.

Steve Kulls, an investigator, has written a lengthy piece on the unravelling of the hoax on the Searching for Bigfoot website, the owners of which were the organisers of the press conference.

Kulls was a witness when the frozen ‘Bigfoot body’ was thawed.

Whilst the ice was melting he had instant concerns regarding the alleged creature’s hair, as well as soft and hollow spots on the head.

Kulls reports that Tom Biscardi informed him that both Matthew Whitton and Ricky Dyer then admitted that the Bigfoot body was in fact a a costume.

FoxNews.com has reported that Mr Biscardi paid an ‘undisclosed sum’ to Mr Whitton and Mr Dyer as an advance on the returns expected from the ‘marketing and promotion’ of their Bigfoot discovery.

They speculate that the sum of money involved was around $50,000.

Personally, I said all along that the whole thing was a hoax, probably designed to increase interest in Whitton and Dyers’ Bigfoot expedition business.

Searching For Bigfoot Inc may, of course, see such activity more seriously which could explain the sudden disappearance of Whitton and Dyer.

I wonder if the pair will now regret their actions considering the possible consequences?

Jesus Makes Rare Appearance, Saves Two Kids

The latest email to come bounding into my inbox hints at the return of Jesus.

Even though his arrival may be timely, following rumours of the anti-christ’s appearance, I would imagine most people will need a little more convincing than this email forward offers.

Tellingly, perhaps, this email offers no hard facts, by which I mean there are no names of people or places which would give the reader an opportunity to verify the tale.

Furthermore, there appears to be no record of the reported interview on Egyptian national TV either.

SUBJECT: FW: Miracle in Egypt

Murder Miracle in Egypt

A Muslim man in Egypt killed his wife and then buried her with their infant baby and 8-year old daughter. The girls? were buried alive!

He then reported to the police that an uncle killed the kids. 15 days later, another family member died. When they went to bury him, they found the 2 little girls under the sand - ALIVE!

The country is outraged over the incident, and the man will be executed.

The older girl was asked how she had survived. “A man wearing shiny white clothes, with bleeding wounds in his hands, came every day to feed us. He woke up my mom so she could nurse my sister,” she said.

She was interviewed on Egyptian national TV, by a veiled Muslim woman news anchor. She said on public TV, “This was none other than Jesus, because nobody else does things like this!”

Muslims believe Isa (Jesus) would do this, but the wounds mean He really was crucified, and it’s clear also that He is alive!

But, it’s also clear that the child could not make up a story like this, and there is no way these children could have survived without a true miracle.

Muslim leaders ar going to have a hard time to figure out what? to do with this, and the popularity of the movie Passion of the Christ doesn’t help!

With Egypt at the centre of the media and education in the Middle East, you can be sure this story will spread. Christ is still turning the world upside down!

Please let this story be shared.

The Lord says, “I will bless the person who puts his trust in me.”
Jeremiah 17:7.

This appears, for the time being at least then, to be another internet hoax.

A Google search yields no authoritative articles claiming this story to be true.

Whether you believe that this really did happen is, perhaps, a matter of faith.

Heaven Forbid that you would consider Jesus to be a fraud though.

Bigfoot’s Body - Press Conference Reveals JACK!

The press conference about the supposed Bigfoot body discovered by Matthew Whitton and Rick Dyer finished around 4 hours ago.

So now it’s over we know, without a shadow of a doubt, that Bigfoot really does exist do we?

NO!

Ok then, the press conference confirmed that this was all a hoax then?

NO!

Well what the heck did the press conference reveal then?

NOT MUCH!

Today’s press conference has been highly anticipated by Bigfoot believers and skeptics alike, both of whom believed that the evidence presented would prove or disprove the myth once and for all.

INCONCLUSIVE DNA

Unfortunately for both camps, however, the conference didn’t reveal much in the way of any tangible evidence.

Whitton, Dyer and Tom Biscardi (all pictured here) announced that genetic tests which had been performed on samples they took from a carcass of the alleged Bigfoot returned mixed results.

Of the three samples, one returned human DNA, one was possum which, it was suggested, was part of the Sasquatch’s diet, and the last one was inconclusive.

Not to be deterred, Biscardi, Whitton and Dyer then presented two blurry photos to the awaiting reporters.

The first was of a figure in a mixed hardwood forest and the other was a shot of the mouth which had previously been seen on the cryptomundo web site.

Even though it would seem as if the photographs are fuzzy at best, the trio still referred to their discovery as being ‘groundbreaking’.

They are still adamant that the creature they are allegedly in possession of, currently in a secret location, is in fact the body of a dead Bigfoot.

Whitton said, “We’re not Bigfoot hunters originally, we stumbled upon this creature. It was a stroke of luck, I can tell you that.”

Whitton and Dyer claim to have discovered the body whilst hiking in a forest near their home in Georgia back in June.

The carcass has, apparently, been stored in a large freezer since that time.

The exact location of the body is currently unknown.

TOM BISCARDI

After the discovery, Tom Biscardi became involved.

Biscardi contacted the media whilst Whitton and Dyer spent several days hyping the discovery up with skeptics.

They also created a YouTube video in which they held a stuffed bear up and reiterated their claims of having found a Sasquatch.

Biscardi sent three seperate samples from the body to a biologist, Curtis Nelson, at the University of Minnesota.

Nelson tested the samples DNA and reported back that most of DNA segments taken from two of the samples matched human DNA.

One sample was a positive match for an American possum.

Biscardi said he believed that this is probably from the Sasquatch’s stomach, though he didn’t elaborate on why DNA had been taken from that region of the creature’s body.

Journalists at the conference remained skeptical, however, believing that the trio should have provided more concrete evidence or, indeed, the body itself.

ATTENTION SEEKER

Those of you who already have an interest in Bigfoot will remember that Biscardi has been here before.

Back in 2005 he claimed to have captured a Bigfoot, only to renounce the claim later, saying he had been duped by a deranged attention-seeking woman.

Whitton and Dyer already have an association with Bigfoot, running expeditions in Georgia, a fact highlighted by the advertising of their website on their baseball caps today.

Biscardi also admitted that he want to ‘make as much money as possible’ from this discovery.

CONCLUSION

Or is it?

For me, the conclusion of this ‘discovery’ would be the presentation of the body, followed by independent scientific analysis.

The press conference (shown in the video above) revealed very little however, and certainly no proof.

As far as I am concerned, Bigfoot still remains little more than a myth, and always will do.

I’m of the opinion that these guys are behind a deliberate hoax, designed to raise their profile and boost their income.

What do you think?

Are you someone who believes in Bigfoot?

Christian, The Friendly Lion

Here’s another story that sounds so different that it must be a hoax.

Right?

WRONG!

This touching video shows ‘Christian’, a potentially fearsome pride-leading lion playing and licking his former owners one year after they’d released him back into the wild.

John Rendall and Ace Berg had spotted Christian as a cub.

The two best friends had seen him on sale in Harrods and just had to have him.

They lived in a flat above their antiques shop and let Christian exercise in church yard, thanks to a kindly vicar.

When Christian was 18 months old, in 1968, he had grown to the point where he needed to be re-homed in George Adamson’s famous Kenyan wildlife sanctuary, which many of you may remember was featured in the hit film ‘Born Free’.

One year later the two friends wished to see Christian but had to be warned that he was wild and there was a chance that he would tear them to pieces.

As you will see in this video clip, the big cat’s reaction to his former owners was somewhat different to what had been expected -

By 1973 Christian had grown to twice the size and had formed a pride with many females and cubs.

When Rendall and Berg went back again in 1974 they couldn’t find their lion and it was believed that Christian had taken his pride back into the wild for good.

Founder of Facebook Mark Zuckerberg

If you are an avid fan of Facebook and receive this email then fret not - it is very much an email hoax, similar in respects to the hoax about Hotmail closing down.

You can easily verify this for yourself by re-reading the email.

The formatting and typing style is poor, to say the least.

Also, even though Facebook is designed to earn copious amounts of money for Mr Zuckerberg, they are hardly in need of donations methinks!
