    Hi Sim

    YES it IS a scam

They hope to extract information and/or get YOU to send THEM money before you get your winnings.

As you have not given them any personal information you will be ok. The worst that has happened is that they now know your email address is used so expect to get a lot more spam.

I received a an e-mail from Chiesa Cattolica Italiana saying that I was selected to win $650,000.00, and that I needed to send an e-mail to rsviistermarypepe @ yahoo.it for further information. I made a mistake and replied but did not give my name address, phone number or any other personal info. I replied saying that this was probably a joke and that I did not wanted to be dupe by such organization/corporation. Is this a scam? Am I in trouble now?
