The number of transactions on the internet are increasing at an exponential rate, year on year. As more money changes hands online, so the scammers and thieves become more sophisticated at finding ways to take some of it for themselves.

Phishing, pharming, email offers that are too good to be true and malicious codes slipped onto unsuspecting (and unprotected) systems are becoming an altogether far too common occurence.

These malicious softwares, including viruses, keygens, trojans and key loggers, are designed to enter your system unseen and then remain invisible. Most people don’t know what to look for and so they remain at work on the host system.

So how can you protect yourself from these destructive and/or obtrusive threats? Short of ceasing to use the internet, or not visiting websites, or opening emails, the answer is to use software to fight software, ie employ internet security software…
