The last time that puppies were the subject of one of my posts was way back in January when I looked at a Christmas scam that fleeced a few people out of several thousand dollars for non-existent pups from the African continent.
Now there is a new email, this time about 6 black Labradors, but is this a scam?
Free black labs…Know anybody looking?

Scott rescued 6 black lab (mix) puppies out of the middle of the road on Saturday. PLEASE help me find them homes - otherwise, it’s Animal Control - which means they only have 5 days. We’ve bathed them, sprayed them for fleas and wormed them….but we can’t keep them. They are currently in a kennel in my basement since I don’t have a fence. I’ve lost count of the number of rescue groups that I’ve contacted, only to be turned down due to no room. Please check with every dog person you know to see if they need a puppy.
This email sounds very genuine, and indeed it may well have been when it was first sent out. However, I’ve been forwarded the exact same email from a few different friends and acquaintances and some have been told of a location for the puppies, ranging from Adelaide in Australia to Philiadelphia and New York in the U.S.
So what may have started as a genuine email looking for good homes for adorable puppies has now turned into an email ‘hoax’ in so much as it is being tinkered with and forwarded around the internet like crazy.

nice to see cute little puppies here and I say for a dog lover like me this is too tempting…good that you have warned me earlier!
I love other people’s dogs but find they are too much like hard work to actually own one.

How come I didn’t get any handcuffs? I am not sure I would know what to do with… Oh wait, I get it… ummmm nevermind, I’m good… I’m a good little commentator. I wasn’t thinking of leaving! I am going to stay right here and keep typing!! ;P

I THINK PEOPLE WHO SCAM ANIMALS SPECIALLY THESE SWEET AND INNOCENT LITTLE BLACK LAB PUPPIES. THE PUNISHMENT SHOULD BE HARD AND TOUGH AND WORK AT THE SHELTER THEY ARE NEAR, TO SEE DOWN SIDE OF DECISIONS THEY HAVE TO MAKE AT TIMES.
I HAVE ALWAYS LOVED ANIMALS AND HAVE HAD MANY OF MY OWN.IT’S OUR DUTY TO SPOIL OUR ANIMALS AND IN RETURN, THEY GIVE US BACK LOVE, LOYAL AND TRUST. WE PROTECT CHILDREN EVERY DAY. WHY DON’T PROTECT THE LIVES OF ANIMALS EVERY DAY,TOO! THEY’RE MEMBERS OF OUR FAMILY TO PROTECT TOO….

I WORKED FOR A ANIMAL HOSPITAL 26 YEARS AGO. I SAW MANY THINGS. PLACE TO GO TO CARE AND LOVE FOR THESE LITTLE ANIMALS WHO HAVE NO VOICE. WE WERE THERE HEAL THE SICK,CARE FOR THE INJURED AND TO COMFORT AS WELL.I REMEMBER MANY TIMES, HOW I SAT WITH A FAMILY AND TRY COMFORT THEM WHEN FAMILY MEMBER HAD TO BE PUT DOWN. SOMETIMES JUST A HUG CAN EXPRESS IS THE BEST MEDICINE IN THE WORLD. I’M VERY PROUD HOW SERVED MY PURPOSE AS A TECH. I CARED FOR ANIMALS AS IF THEY WERE MY OWN, CLEANED CAGES FOR THEIR HOME AWAY HOME. I HAD LEARNED MANY SKILLS WHICH STILL HELP ME TODAY.I HAVE ALWAYS LOVED WILL BE MY FIRST LOVE OF ALL ANIMALS.I NEVER HEARD THE SAYING DON’T GET PERSONAL INVOLVED. I COULDN’T HELP IT, YOUR HEART WENT OUT EVERY TIME TO ALL OF THEM. MY HEART BROKE IN PIECES WHEN ANIMAL WOULD DIE. WHEN THEY WOULDN’T EAT. MANY TIMES ONE OF US, WOULD GO OVER A NEAR BY RESTAURANT. ORDER JUST A HAMBURGER AND SEE IF WE COULD WORK A MIRACLE SAVE OUR PATIENT.YES, IT DID HAPPENED. SO GETTING INVOLVED, IS VERY IMPORTANT TO THESE LITTLE LIVES WHO CAN’T SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES. IT WAS THE BEST JOB I EVER HAD. I WAS BITTEN BY INJURED DOG IN EMERGENCY WHO WAS GREAT IN PAIN.DOG WAS CARED FOR AND HEALED.
LOST ALL FEELINGS TO MY RIGHT HAND TO THE SHOULDER. NOT BECAUSE OF THE DOG,BUT BY HUMAN DR.MISTAKE AT THE HUMAN HOSPITAL. TOOK A LONG TIME TO RECOVER BUT I STILL HAVE MY FIRST LOVE ALWAYS BE ANIMALS.
LOVE THEM, PLAY WITH THEM, PROTECT THEIR LITTLE LIVES, AND MOST OF ALL SPOIL THEM ROTTEN. FOR SOME OF US THEY’RE IN FACT, OUR CHILREN AND WE WANT TO THE BEST FOR THEM EVERY DAY.
