in Scams

Master forgers often get away with their cons for many years.

If not, then they at least make an attempt to not get caught.

However, that was not the case for Alexander D Smith…

From Metro -

In probably the most incompetent attempt at fraud ever known, a man tried to open a bank account with a fake $1million note.

Unsurprisingly, he failed.

The incident occurred at a bank in Clearwater, Augusta on Monday when 31-year-old Alexander D Smith went to the bank counter with the note.

But tellers didn’t think it was real as the $1million dollar bill doesn’t officially exist, and so reported him to the police.

Surely, if you are going to forge a bank note, then it is prudent to copy one that actually exists and is in circulation, isn’t it?

If anyone ever deserved to pay the time for their crime then surely this is a prime example of where an idiotic scam will get you!
