What Does My Crystal Ball Say About A Sara Freder Scam?
Thu, Aug 23, 2007
The following is my opinion, what’s yours?
Some people believe that there is a logical answer to everything, that they are totally in control of their own destiny and that their actions and decisions make them who they are and who they will become in the future.
Alternatively, there are some who believe in the supernatural, in psychics, mediums and fate. They often believe that people with special powers can direct them to a better life, help them make decisions or even find the things they feel they are missing in life.
If you fit into the second of those classifications then you may have heard of Sara Freder, a self-proclaimed psychic to the stars, politicians and leading sportsmen.
Helping those in need
Despite her apparent success helping such prominent individuals, Sara Freder says, on her website, that she prefers to help the poor in ‘bad times’.
Some of these ‘poor’ people have apparently written testimonials to praise Sara Freder’s work. It is interesting to note, however, that there is a disclaimer at the bottom of her own testimonials page stating that the comments don’t necessarily match the photographs next to them.
These testimonials claim that Sara Freder has assisted the individuals in their lives, allowing them benefits ranging from financial success to personal changes to self fulfillment.
According to Sara Freder’s site you too can benefit from her abilities, starting with a free horoscope. After the free reading you are then invited to subscribe to a weekly reading, for a price.
What are others saying about Sara Freder?
Whilst researching Sara Freder I saw many references to insecure payment pages which lead to unauthorised withdrawals being made. Having not signed up myself I cannot verify the validity of such claims.
Likewise, I found a page on an Australian government website that suggests that signing up may lead to you receiving lots of scam emails in your inbox. Again, I cannot verify this claim either.
I also found another web page that suggests that paying for Freder’s service via credit card does not guarantee a reply and that she doesn’t honour her own money back guarantee. I do not know if the person in question was an isolated case or whether this is a common occurrence but their advice of copying yourself in on any emails sent to Sara Freder, and printing the money back guarantee page for reference is certainly sound advice in either case.
The horoscopes
Tracking back a bit, I mentioned that the Sara Freder site offers a free horoscope to anyone who visits. Having looked at the site this certainly does seem to be the case, but how unique is the reading?
One thing I saw in countless places across the net was that the clairvoyance consultation from Sara Freder seems to be an automated response.
After entering in your details, all quite specific to yourself and including a specific area you need help in, you receive a confidential code after a week or so.
This is supposed to allow you access to your personal reading. However, I have seen many reports stating that a large number of people received the same confidential code and identical consultations. This definitely doesn’t look good for Sara Freder!
Talisman
In addition to the clairvoyancy Sara Freder also offers assistance through the purchase of her magnetised magical picture. It would appear that she is always offering a special deal on this picture of herself holding a crystal ball. For only $238 $78 you can have both the picture and a special clairvoyance regarding your future luck.
If you believe that carrying a special picture can change your life then I too can offer one - below is a picture of my lucky slug that I found in my garden and it’s yours for just $50 -
I’m not sure how a slug would fare if you magnetised it, but as it is only a picture I’m sure it will be ok. Just remember not to add salt!
(The above is a joke folks - please don’t ask to buy this slug picture!! :D)
Does Sara Freder’s Clairvoyancy actually work?
I actually chose to look into Sara Freder’s service upon the request of 3 different readers of this site, all of which told me some interesting stories that they wish to be kept private. They are all convinced they have been scammed and there are many more people with similar views across the internet, in forums and on web pages.
So is there no truth or value in these clairvoyance readings and the magnetised magical picture?
Well, I have to say there might be. It may not be what those 3 readers want to hear but I believe that it may actually be of benefit to somepeople. I would counter that, though, by saying that I do not believe it would be Sara Freder helping you. Instead, it is all to do with the power of the mind.
Psychology is a powerful thing, as is the mind. Some people are strong willed and can motivate themselves to achieve the things they want in life. Others need a little push.
Hypnotism is not magic, it is all about making suggestions to the sub-conscious mind. Some people are more susceptible to this than others. If you are someone who needs a little ‘push’ in life then having a magical picture, or someone giving you a clairvoyancy session, may allow you to focus your mind differently and thereby motivate yourself to do things you wouldn’t or haven’t done before.
So in that respect, the service offered by Sara Freder may in fact work for some people. Or at least, they think it does. In reality, they probably need to work on themselves so they can derive the same focus in life without relying upon a clairvoyant but, then again, I know many people who almost run their lives according to what their favourite psychic says.
So Sara Freder’s claivoyancy isn’t a scam then?
In conclusion I do have to say that the personal horoscopes and magnetised magical picture may work for some people, for the reasons listed above.
The comments I have seen about not fulfilling terms of service, taking unauthorised payments and not honouring a money back guarantee cannot be verified either way.
Therefore, Sara Freder is not a scam for the reasons I thought it might be when I first started reading about her.
However, the fact that a large number of people online are all saying they received the exact same reading most definitely does look suspect.
Verdict: I’m of the opinion that this is dubious, but the type of person who listens to clairvoyants will continue to do so and those who don’t, won’t.
P.S.
For the religious amongst you, you may want to know that Sara Freder is interviewed on her site by Magus Eriam whom, it is noted, has specialised in the Occult sciences. I guess knowing that may be a deciding factor in whether to use her services for some of you.

Scam,
I am a bit disappointed. First of all, don’t categorize people as believers and non-believers. Everyone at some point in life is a believer. Secondly, the joke is definitely in bad taste, lacks compassion.
But, on the other hand, I am actually delighted by your diplomacy in saying that she is a scammer for the non-believer and clairvoyant for the believer. Let me tell you through my personal experience, she is definitely a fraud. I was constantly getting mails from her asking me to pay for “prayers and magic” otherwise my life would be miserable and so when I finally did send her the money there is no response from her. At least, I stopped her from spamming!
Now, you could make fun of me and call me a mugu, clown or whatever u like…but the truth is Sara Freder is a fraud.
I am very happy to find out about Sara Freders scam since i have been putting alot of trust in Sara Freder now i can focus on reality important stuff. I have found that my reading were very similar to another reading developed on line i was very surprised. Ive also found someother fake pychics that i have also been in contact with now. Now i know not to trust them.
Who are the other fake psychics you have been in contact with Amanda?
I was actually trying to base what I wrote upon the facts, in so far as they are known.
Personally, I believe all things psychic are a complete fraud but I also have plenty of friends and relatives who swear by them.
That doesn’t mean that I am right and they are wrong - we just have different opinions and that’s as it should be.
In essence, the point I was trying to make about Sara Freder was that whether or not clairvoyance is a scam in itself is debatable, however her site definitely DOES look dubious. The reason for that not being the service she offers, per se, but the fact that the replies she makes seem to be duplicated rather than personal.
My conclusion was then that it was probably a scam from the point of not being as advertised rather than the reasons you may have been expecting.
And, I wouldn’t disrespect you by calling you a clown either.
That post was tongue in cheek, as was the slug picture in this one - I’m afraid I have a warped sense of humour!!
He he so dumb of me to react like that. You have an excellent sense of humor!
I react and regret…from now on I must think and act!!
And act quicker too.. my comment was about 10 months old!!!
Ha ha!
Glad you’re still enjoying my sense of humor though
I actually thought the slug was quite funny
All this psychic rubbish is a complete fraud
to aruna: how much did you send her?
Sue,
I can tell you this much that I was ready to part with that not-so-significant amount to kill my curiosity…I was more curious than anything else
Where do I send payment to for the magical slug picture? lol
Hmmmm, ok, maybe the slug picture was a bad idea after all… it’s just a joke folks!!!
Are you going to review any other psychic frauds?
I have one or two I could suggest.
I sure am Claire. I have quite a backlog of topics that I have started looking into but psychics is something I intend to return to in the near future as the number of comments here suggests it is a popular subject.
I have a few ideas of whom to look at next but feel free to add your own suggestions.
To Carl : To answer your email, the reason you dropped off the top commentator’s list is because it automatically resets itself on the 1st day of each new month.
Not only is “Sara Freder” aka JEAN CHRISTOPHER MAIRES a FRAUD, but HE has sent me MULTIPLE emails rambling rubbish something to the effect of “You were cursed at the age of 13, it was autumn on a bad weather day, and it was someone very close to your family.” Basically in all of the ‘cursed’ emails that I have received (which had about 12 paragraphs of complete and utter BS) HE of course demanded an urgent payment of X amount of money that coincidently kept getting cheaper with each email. HE crossed the line by having the audacity to send me and MANY others the same garbage, so I took the time to find out who “Sara Freder” really is. To all of the people who have paid this person money, I really hope that you do everything in your power to expose this person and get something out of all the trouble, pain, and anger he has caused you. God bless.

interesting information Kristen, how did you go about collating that?
I missed this comment and second what Mark said.
Hey guys, I found that info via http://www.firststop-astrology.com/Astrofacts/Exposed5.htm.
I don’t know if you have done so already, but just type “Sara Freder fraud” into Yahoo’s search engine and/or google. There are SO many websites and forums (approx 2,150 on google & 2,060 on yahoo) regarding Sir Freder. Western Australia’s government has even declared her/him/it a fraud!
My favorite Sara Freder fraud blog is below. Please take a few minutes to read some of the comments/replies to Eric’s original blog about Sara Freder. I found it hilarious and interesting (the entries from the poor people that actually gave this person their hard earned money only to get the shaft - not hilarious.)

I remember reading a lot about Sara Freder last year when I wrote this post but had not come across ‘her’ aliases before.
Well, I feel stupid!! I did give in to Sara Freder’s con. 6 months ago I subscribed to her free horoscope. I found it ridiculously untrue, and blocked her from my address. Then a few weeks ago out of the blue she emailed me saying that I suffer from bad karma and if I don’t respond to her help NOW I’ll be induced to another 7 years of nothing but the same misfortune I’ve always experienced. (she explained that every 7 years your karma renews itself). Anyways, I felt that she new things about me that were very true - even brought me to tears. I paid the $29.95 ($270 OFF!) and she emailed me back only to try to persua me to buy some magnetic crap. Then she said we will have 8 -once a week- “telepathic sessions for $480!!! Well - I do believe in telepathy and psychic stuff, and since Sylvia Browne (whom I absolutely belive in) charges $800 for a 1/2 hr phone call, I set up a 6 month payment plan. Then, after I payed, I searced her name in google and realized she is a fraud. I feel so stupid. But she is right about one thing - my life is a mess and I so desperately wanted to believe her, that my life could be changed for the better. Maybe she sensed my dispair and played on my weakness…?
Hi Christina.
Personally, I do not believe in psychics at all, though I do respect those that do.
My opinion is that some of them take advantage of the fact that people feel helpless and are looking for assistance in sorting themselves out.
Again, my personal opinion is that only we are responsible for our own lives and can make a difference, not anyone else.
If someone is a less than honest psychic then, yes, I’m pretty sure that they could sense things about you and then tailor readings to suit that situation.
Thank goodness for blogs! I almost fell for the Sara Freder scam, or whatever it is! I just hope that someday someone will come up with a website or blog, or whatever, for the purpose of finding out real psychics (in fairness, to the authentic ones)…I really wish to find a real psychic who can help people, instead of scammers who scam people out of their money! Is there such a thing as a real psychic? Someone like Edgar Cayce perhaps, or better? Let me know…if you find one…?
Hi Marybeth
I’m certainly not the one to advise on ‘real’ psychics as I find it hard to believe that such a person exists.
That said, I have always found Edgar Cayce to be fascinating, especially his prophecies about the Great Library under the sphynx at the Giza plateau.
