I received an email saying I’d won a yahoo international promotions program lottery for 500,000 pounds uk money….here is the entire email including headers:

Just in case anyone hasn’t worked it out, it is obviously a scam – Yahoo don’t run lotteries and people don’t win lotteries that they didn’t enter.
What’s more, since when did Yahoo have a comcast.net email address? And George Parker’s email address has a ‘.hk’ on the end which means that website is a subdomain of a non Yahoo site in Hong Kong!

Same ads did I received except for some minor changes: Remittance Director is named as Sir Henry Hale and mine has a Zonal Coordinator named Mrs Sherrell Barber. The e-mail sent to me bears the same ref, batch and registered number and dated 27 Sep 2007. Whoever made this scam, I think, our group can already traced them. We may start by their given names and also from their bogus e-mail addresses, but their IPs don’t change. Though their input were bogus, the IPs provide traces of electronic caller-id type of signatures. Well, happy hunting.
I can’t believe they are too lazy to change the email. Guess that means it’s been a money-maker for them
